The first Newscast that the class had done was pretty solid, having a few easy fixes and a lot more improvement. What I believed we had done well in during the newscast was communication between the tech crew making sure the shots were on point and the audio was tuned just fine. Another component that we did well was making eye contact in the camera and pronouncing words correctly with the anchors. What I believe that needs to be improved are the little things that happened during the newscast like someone's elbow showing when someone else was talking, or when the camera was shut off then had to be turned on again. The comment on my performance were I thought I did a solid job, being the first time floor director. This being my first time switching from camera three it was a different perspective, as I started off pretty slow I started to progressive and became atop on everything in advance. I also thought I helped a lot being easy to the camera people and letting them know what they need to know. For future newscast my thoughts are that we should do a zoom in to the main anchor with the first story. And that we make even more eye contact since it wont hurt us. Also for future broadcast I think we should be more energetic bringing more energy into each newscast. Therefore this was the first newscast critique that I created and these are my thoughts on it.
